D-League Game of the Week, NBA TV, Airdate: January 29, 2011

I had the good fortune of making my professional basketball debut on the night of a memorable game between the D-League’s Bakersfield Jam and Springfield Armor.  The hometown Armor squandered a double-digit fourth quarter lead, but surged in overtime to secure the first three-game winning streak in franchise history.  The game was selected by NBA TV as its D-League Game of the Week, and televised nationally eight days later.

Boston Celtics Pregame Show, Comcast Sports New England, Airdate: January 28, 2011

This is a favorite of mine for strictly comedic reasons.  As I was driving around on a Friday night, I got text messages from a friend telling me that he’d just seen me on the Celtics Pregame Show.  The next day, I discovered that the Comcast video guys made me out to be a big, bad reporter picking on Antoine Walker after a loss.  I’m on camera asking three questions.  If you click over to my audio section, you can hear the full interview and come to appreciate the magic of editing!

NBA.com D-League Highlight Package, Dakota at Springfield, March 4, 2011

This is a sample of the postgame highlight packages that are submitted by the home team after every NBA D-League game for use on the D-League website and its official YouTube channel.  On this particular night, the Dakota Wizards assembled a one-sided reel, with plenty of impressive offense.

 

2009 NCAA New England Baseball Regional Final

Here’s the exciting conclusion of an epic baseball tournament from May 2009 in Mansfield, Connecticut.  This game was the culmination of a five day, fourteen game tournament which sent the winner to the Division III College World Series.

 

2009 Little East Conference Volleyball Championship and Postgame Interview

In November 2009, I had the opportunity to broadcast the semifinals and championship game of this tournament.  This win for UMass Boston was a history maker for their program, and I had the chance to tell the story as it unfolded.

Coach Baptiste built a basketball machine over 26 seasons at UMass Dartmouth.  In February of 2009, I had the privilege of calling his 500th career victory, all with the Corsairs.  Here’s my interview with the triumphant head coach.

In October and November of 2009, the UMass Dartmouth field hockey team started a magical run to their first-ever NCAA championship tournament appearance.  After a postseason victory in the first round of the Little East Conference tournament, I spoke with Coach Castonguay.

2009 Little East Conference Men’s Basketball Championship Semifinal

On the Corsairs’ postseason run to the Sweet Sixteen, they had to take two tough games at Rhode Island College to claim the Little East Championship.  Early in the semifinal, they fell behind by eight to underdog Western Connecticut.  And then the comeback began…
